Location and Accommodations
We strongly encourage staying at Asilomar Conference Grounds as the conference sessions and social activities will be organized around the site. Asilomar offers highly competitive room and meal reservation rates for the beautiful Monterey area.
Preference will be given to reservations placed for six nights. On a space-available basis, shorter stay reservations will be accommodated, but will not be confirmed until two or three weeks prior to the symposium. Even though the form states "full-time reservations," use the room reservation form to request a stay of less than six nights. Write on the room reservation form (beside the type of room that you select) the actual nights that you want to reserve.
Attendees choosing not to stay at Asilomar or who have missed the May 3 room block deadline will be responsible for purchasing daily meal tickets and for paying a daily $10 entrance fee into the grounds.
Reservations should be made at least 60 days prior to the start of the conference; we recommend making your reservation early. Breakfast, lunch, and most dinners are included with your hotel registration.
A limited number of rooms in each category have been set aside at the conference location. Room availability is not guaranteed in each category. Priority is given to registrants on a first-come basis until the block of rooms has been filled. Please book early.

Any participants not staying at Asilomar will be required to pay the off-ground registration fee each day, even if a room at Asilomar is requested and the hotel is unable to accommodate. Please book early.
The hotel registration form must be returned to the Asilomar Conference Grounds. Do not mail it to Penn State. The conference registration form must be returned to Penn State at the proper address listed on the bottom of the form. Please do not mail both forms to one location or the other. We cannot guarantee that registration forms mailed to the wrong location will be forwarded to the correct one.
