Experimental and analytical work on oscillatory burning of solid and liquid propellants, rocket motor instabilities, advanced propulsion concepts, particularly the heating of propellant gases to high temperature by the absorption of microwave radiation, optical diagnostics of nozzle flows expanding into a vacuum.
