Duncan Koerbel, President for Global Services - Suzlon Wind Energy

Mr. Duncan Koerbel (Aersp ‘83) will hold a wide ranging discussion on the similarities between engineering as it applies to aircraft and wind turbines.  Areas of discussion will include aerodynamic design, structural design, test & validation, flight controls, system integration, and even wake turbulence.  Mr. Koerbel has held numerous executive positions with Lockheed Martin, Bombardier, & Beech/Raytheon Aircraft.  He joined the renewable energy industry in 2008 and is currently the President for Global Services for Suzlon Wind Energy.  Suzlon is the world’s third largest supplier of wind turbines and has over 7200 turbines installed around the world including 1200 turbines in 16 states in the US.
